Kelly here with another happy update. I got a call last night around 10pm in Seattle (10:45am Friday in Nepal) from Seth, who was already down to Camp II, sitting on a rock and enjoying some tea before he crawled into his tent for the rest of the day and night. He’ll be spending that much more time at altitude and then tomorrow morning (Thursday night in the states) he’ll descend the rest of the way, through the ice fall, to Base Camp. He said the rappel down from Camp III was crazy, but much easier than the ascent (surprised?). He sounds great.
I imagine he’ll be able to send in the next update himself once he’s safely back at Base Camp. Send good wishes for a safe trip across the ice fall!
Go team SWEET!
